The KFV (Austrian Road Safety Board) was founded in 1959 as an independent association and has been working to prevent accidents and improve safety in Austria for more than 50 years. Today, its activities focus on the physical and material integrity of people. The KFV's areas of activity include the prevention of road traffic accidents, sports and leisure accidents and property protection.
No other organization in Austria can boast such a broad range of topics in terms of safety as the KFV. As an independent association, the KFV is exclusively committed to increasing safety; all prevention goals are based on a combination of the need for action (e.g. accident frequency) and prevention measures. Social conditions and available resources are taken into account.
KFV Sicherheit-Service GmbH is wholly owned by KFV. In order to promote safety and health in Austria, it develops customized services for private individuals, companies and public institutions in the transport sector and other areas of life.
