Istanbul Okan University is a higher education and research institution based in Istanbul, Türkiye, with strong academic and applied research activities in engineering, transportation, mobility, and digital technologies. Through its Civil Engineering and related research teams, the University conducts studies on road safety, traffic engineering, sustainable mobility, micromobility, connected and automated mobility, transport modeling, simulation, data analytics and emerging vehicle technologies.
The University actively participates in national and European research and innovation projects and collaborates with public authorities, industry partners, research institutions and international networks. Its activities aim to contribute to safer, more sustainable, inclusive and technology-enabled mobility systems, with particular emphasis on vulnerable road users, road safety assessment, traffic operations and innovative transport solutions.
