Using a compact pod device and a companion app, SafeDrivePod provides valuable insights into driving behaviour, helps reduce distractions behind the wheel, and significantly shortens emergency response times.
The company offers three core solutions: telematics (SafeDriveMotion), crash detection (SafeDriveResponse), and a solution that helps prevent traffic damage caused by smartphone use (SafeDriveFocus).
Our telematics solution provides insurers with accurate driving behaviour insights to assess risk and reward safe drivers with flexible premium pricing. This empowers insurers to reduce claims costs, improve profitability, and increase customer satisfaction.
Unlike other telematics systems, SafeDrivePod is GPS-free by design, ensuring privacy compliance, while still offering optional GPS-based features when required. It also prevents distracted driving by automatically locking the smartphone screen while the car is in motion, and offers best-in-class crash detection (e-FNOL) for faster claims handling.
Developed fully in-house ( EU) and available as a white-label solution with SDK and API integration, SafeDrivePod makes scalable, data-driven insurance a reality.
SafeDrivePod's fundamental belief is that when it comes to road safety, you can never do enough. They state that careful, calm drivers save fellow road users, society, and the environment a great deal of damage and suffering — and that this conviction is the reason they develop their solutions.
SafeDrivePod acknowledges that smartphone use in the car is a growing problem. The smartphone has become an inseparable part of daily life, demanding attention constantly — and that temptation can be hard to resist, even in traffic. They emphasize that just a few seconds of inattention can cause an enormous amount of misery. In response to this problem, SafeDrivePod developed SafeDriveFocus — a solution that automatically restricts smartphone operation, but only while the vehicle is moving. As soon as the vehicle comes to a stop, all smartphone functionality is immediately restored. This ensures drivers maintain maximum focus on the road, but only when it is actually necessary. Hands-free calling and navigation remain possible at all times. The solution works fully automatically — no need to manually switch the app or device on or off — and it does not use GPS or location data, so driver privacy is fully guaranteed.
