INLECOM INNOVATION is a European R&D and digital innovation organisation with extensive experience in designing, developing and validating advanced ICT solutions through European Commission-funded projects. Our work is strongly aligned with the mission of the European Road Safety Charter: to support concrete, knowledge-based actions that improve road safety culture, prevent accidents, protect all road users, and enable the transfer of good practices across Europe.
INLECOM brings a strong technological profile in AI-driven predictive systems, risk assessment, data spaces, decision-support platforms, digital twins, knowledge graphs, trusted data exchange, and real-time analytics. These competences are directly applicable to road safety, where the transition from reactive accident analysis to proactive crash prevention requires the integration of heterogeneous data, explainable risk models, and actionable intelligence for authorities, infrastructure operators and mobility stakeholders.
A central road-safety asset developed by INLECOM is EVOROADS project, an AI-based accident risk prediction and prioritisation engine originating from European R&I work. EVOROADS supports the identification of high-risk road segments, emerging hotspots and vulnerable user risk patterns by combining historical accident data, geospatial analytics, clustering, trend analysis and dashboard-based decision support. It is designed to help cities and road operators prioritise interventions before accidents occur, improving the efficiency and transparency of road-safety investments.
INLECOM’s wider portfolio further strengthens this capability base. Through projects and assets such as CLARION, SMARTIN, EVOROADS and related EC-funded mobility, infrastructure and resilience initiatives, INLECOM has built expertise in predictive safety analytics, infrastructure risk monitoring, data-driven decision support, secure data sharing and operational tools for public authorities and transport stakeholders. This experience enables us to contribute not only technology, but also methodological know-how on validation, stakeholder engagement, interoperability, exploitation and replication across European contexts.
Our vision is to support a safer European road environment by turning advanced digital technologies into practical, evidence-based road-safety services. As a member of the European Road Safety Charter, INLECOM aims to share its experience, collaborate with public and private stakeholders, promote proactive and data-driven road safety practices, and contribute concrete tools and knowledge that help reduce fatalities and serious injuries across Europe.
