Dimitrios Skiannis, journalist, founder and manager of GetElectricGR, is especially active in regards to road safety for micromobility users, promoting proper rider behaviour and equipment, covering road safety topics via his journalist work (online, national radio, national TV), advocating for a better bicycle network in Athens and Greece and in close cooperation with other road safety assosiations. GetElectricGR (getelectric.gr) is an online media dedicated to micromobility and electric mobility in general, mainly focused to e-scooter and e-bike users in Greece, also affiliated with the largest e-scooter users community in the country (>5.000 members currently).
Examples of our effort are the 1st (and only, to this day), online tutorial for road safety using e-scooters, the 1st instructional e-scooter track day in Greece and joint efforts/seminars on micromobility road safety with I.O.AS. "Panos Mylonas", the most important road safety association in Greece.
