Cosain

The Community Road Safety Action & Information Network (Cosain) is a community group that was formed in 2009 to campaign for a more welcoming environment for pedestrians and other people who travel by means other than the private car. Cosain seeks to emulate the successful approach adopted by organisations such as Living Streets in the UK and the international body Walk 21, and endorses documents such as the European Charter of Pedestrian Rights and the International Charter for Walking. One of the core principles of the International Charter is that “communities have the right to expect authorities to provide for, support and safeguard their ability and choice to walk.”
