Road security lessons in high schools

For many years, the Province of Treviso has been promoting road safety culture in synergy with local high schools offering targeted training aimed to the acquisition of useful skills and behaviour in the use of vehicles, especially in dangerous situations. Privileged targets are high school students who are obtaining their driving license to drive cars or those who have license to drive motorcycles. In this sense, the Province of Treviso organizes modulated lectures over a two-hour period in order to be integrated in the school programme (PTOF) with such flexibility characteristics so that they can be implemented even in different contexts. The lecture is able to engage and stimulate the audience by providing knowledge, skills, and ability in a direct and specific way, developing and dealing with issues and problems in order to aware that an accident is almost never inevitable, but the consequence of one or more human mistakes that have to be studied and prevented by learning how to drive safely. A variety of materials such as pamphlets and videos are used to implement lessons.
