Vilnius City Municipal Government is obliged with a complex task to grant smooth and safe functioning of the city to its citizens and visitors, to ensure sustainable quality of life, rest and business environment and to conduct balanced urban development. There are 10 different Departments, and one of them is Department of Safe City, the main tasks of which are to maintain public order, to implement preventive measures raising public awareness and to create a safer environment in Vilnius City.
