Every year almost 2 million crashes are human-caused partially because of distraction and sleep, resulting in a staggering $287 billion in losses for insurance companies. WingDriver solves that using AI and your smartphone. Our technology alert drivers to keep them awake and focused.
WingDriverTM is the only company implementing Computer Vision and AI on smartphones and mobile operating systems to analyze combined facial analysis, vehicle inertial data and the vehicle surroundings to accurately identify driver drowsiness, fatigue, distraction and other driver states to prevent accidents.
The WingDriverTM tech uses smartphone cameras and sensors or the in-vehicle driver monitoring camera and Android automotive unit and combined with Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI) research results, for the decision making processes that will identify the driver situation and alert drivers in real-time using audio and visual messages. Additionally, our Big Mobility Data strategy will enable us to understand the correlation between driver behavior and accidents with greater precision to accurately assess driver risk.

Classic road safety equipment has always been passive, waiting for drivers to lose control, leave the road and suffer an accident against it. In that moment, they are necessary to contain and redirect the vehicle, as well as to reduce its severity and consequences. However, despite their generalized deployment in our roads, we still face deaths and severe injured.
PLUG&META® technology brings a new paradigm for road equipment, allowing the infrastructure to be proactive, to start talking to users and prevent accidents from happening. It also gathers road safety data and events for the road administration.
It is a digital system that can be integrated both into new or existing equipment, for example guardrails, bridge parapets, noise barriers or acoustic wall cladding for tunnels, crash cushions and others.
This worldwide innovation, patented and fully developed by Metalesa, provides active road safety to infrastructure, that is to say, the connected and smart infrastructure will have the capability to autonomous and continuously identify risks on the road (ex: ice, bad visibility, cyclist/pedestrians/animals on the road, excessive speed...) and activate in real time an adaptative LED signalling system to make drivers aware of the risk, and hence, allowing them to anticipate safer decisions. The IDB closes several very important gaps, left open by other road accident data which are mostly provide by police units called to the scene of an accident.
1) The IDB provides data for single party accidents, where no police might be involved. Most notably bike accidents.
2) Some accidents are not classified as traffic accidents but are closely related. These peripheral accidents are shown in the IDB. For instance, accidents in public transportation are not consider traffic accidents unless a transport vehicle is directly involved. Accidents occurring on the entrance to a subway station, or the escalator are still problematic though and can be shown with our data.
3) The IDB is set up in a way that we can look at comparatively small portions of traffic accidents in detail. This allows us to react to emerging phenomena such as E-scooter accidents.

The book "My Hero" graces the libraries of the 110 schools of Rhodes following a decision by the Board of Directors of the Primary & Secondary School Committee of the Municipality of Rhodes. The goal is to adorn the libraries of all schools in the South Aegean Region.

I feel proud because I managed to write a book starting with my Hero who returns to Rhodes who meets his friends, operators, the Prime Minister of his country to talk about the human lives that are lost in the streets and with the aim of being read and for its readers to know the causes of traffic accidents, for my country, for the Strategic Road Safety Improvement Plan in Greece, for Europe, for World Victims' Remembrance Day, for supporting victims and everything about traffic accidents and how they can be reduced.

A new RSA report shows that for every one person killed while cycling, there were 25 seriously injured*.
9% of people seriously injured while cycling was a result of a hit and run incident.

Apart from the bad road network and climatic conditions, other causes of road accidents on some of the roads have been linked to negligence of drivers and mechanical errors. other courses of road accidents include drink driving, faulty traffic light, faulty streetlight, highway attackers, fake engine oil, fake brake fluid, mechanical error, potholes. overloading, poor eyesight, Insufficient lighting conditions; unlit roads pose danger to motorists, pedestrians and cyclists, including threat to security.
A vehicle manufacturers document shows that, vehicles are equipped with 4 brakes to provide utmost safety on the roads, but our cheeks showed most drivers of commercial vehicles have disconnected 2 of these brakes, posing danger on the roads. Also, worn-out tyres affect the performance of vehicles.
