The CNSE Foundation for the suppression of communication barriers is a statewide NGO that was created in 1998 by the State Confederation of Deaf People (CNSE). Its main purpose is to carry out initiatives aimed at deaf people and their families in the fields of education, training, employment, accessibility and social participation, with special attention to information and communication technologies. Since its creation, the CNSE Foundation has been carrying out important work in the standardisation of Spanish sign language, as well as in the planning of its use and learning, constantly striving for linguistic quality.
