Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety

NGOs have a role in the Global Plan to hold governments accountable. The Alliance Accountability Toolkit is a milestone toward this. It is a practical, web-based set of tools to make the abstract concept of accountability more tangible and provide concrete steps for NGOs to hold their governments accountable for reducing road deaths and injuries by 50% by 2030 through evidence-based action. You can explore the toolkit here

This toolkit will lead to greater civil society-led accountability and transparency for road safety. One NGO user has described the toolkit as a ‘secret weapon’ toward achieving their advocacy objectives.

An orientation session on 20 April 2023 14:00-15:00 CET will present both the toolkit, what it is, its role in achieving the 2030 targets, and explore how it might complement your own organisation’s work, and to discuss opportunities in the UN Global Road Safety Week (15 - 21 May 2023). Please register here.
