National College “Nicolae Bălcescu” supplies theoretical and practical teaching according with European standards in education. Teachers from our school prepare students for a quality education: national exams, Olympics, regional, national or international contests and challenges. Our College promote professionalism, active involvement in community life, team work, achieving common targets for better results and accomplishments, to ensure that academic tradition which will go on to the next generations. National College “Nicolae Bălcescu” was involved in many European projects, such as: - EQUEP – Comenius multilateral (school partner); - Everybody fits in – Comenius multilateral (school partner); - I.A.M. Creative – Comenius bilateral (our school was coordinator); - WATER – Comenius multilateral (our school was coordinator); - PRIME – Erasmusplus, local partner; - Job Shadowing – Erasmusplus host school. National College „Nicolae Bălcescu” involved many teachers and students in all these projects. These activities offer challenges and satisfactions by sharing knowledge, values, competences and good practice to all members of our community. So that, all our outcomes are known by the entire community: students, parents, teachers and local leaders from Brăila. We spread our experiences and results to all the schools from Brăila and neighborhood, helped by collaboration with local or regional newspapers, internet or our web - page. This year we accepted again the challenge to make a project Your Ideas Your Initiatives - Road Safety Actions for a Better Environment, International Challenge 2019, Responsible Behaviors, called ”Safety Is The New Look”.
