Please describe the project activities you carried/are carrying out and the time period over which these were implemented.
The consultation concluded the 6th season of the VOZIM initiative, which advocates for fewer drunk driving among both young and older road users. The consultation was attended by 44 students of two secondary schools from Radovljica, Radovljica Secondary School of Catering and Tourism and the Secondary School of Economics and Business and 14 participants of Project learning for young adults (PUM-O+).
At the experiential workshops, which followed the plenary session and the story of the injured person in the traffic accident Žiga Breznik, young people, under the guidance of youth workers, sought suggestions and improvements to reduce the availability and use of alcohol and other psychoactive substances among young people and prevent driving under the influence of alcohol.
They also learned about the simulation of driving under the influence of alcohol on the simulator of the Generali Insurance Company, reaction time, impact weight at different speeds and the view and operation through glasses that simulate drunkness.

In terms of implementation, what worked well and what challenges did you need to overcome?
The consultation and workshops were well received among young people. They were very cooperative and had many good ideas.
We are planing to organize more workshops dirrectly in schools in each class separately, therefore we applied for additional financial resources and we are waiting for the result.

Evaluation
Please summarise how you have evaluated the initiative’s impact (e.g. social media reach, survey, feedback forms, statistics).
/
What has been the effect of the activities?
We do not have the data if there was any wide impact of our event. However, in the last 20 years, alcohol consumption among young people in our country has been declining – which is encouraging data. (according to expert from National agency for public health)
Please briefly explain why your initiative is a good example of improving road safety.
The Iniciative of Vozim institute is national iniciative, well promoted with ambasadors and promoters such as actors, musicians. The added value of events and workshops are individuals who were injured in car accidents. Their story really touches the young people and they start to think over traffic safety and drive sober.
How have you shared information about your project and its results?
We've shared information on our social media (FB, Instagram profile, internet page of Adult education centre and Youth centre), local and regional newspapers and Slovene national TV. Vozim Institute and Secondary School of Economics and Business shared information on their social media.
