Project activities

The project was initiated by Brake Foundation, UK, which provided the framework and the English version of some of the distributed materials.

Please describe the project activities you carried/are carrying out and the time period over which these were implemented.

The main activities in this project consisted in the distribution of the press release announcing the launching of the project as well as several materials covering actual themes such as movement on rural roads, speed, careless driving or driving under the influence of alcohol.


What has been the effect of the activities?

The project reached an approximate number of 1500 people via the company website and the corresponding Facebook page as well as the media distribution of the press release. It is the second time Industrie Mică Prahova SA and Drumul în siguranţă weblog support the Road Safety Week campaign initiated by the Brake Foundation.

Please briefly explain why your initiative is a good example of improving road safety.

The initiative addreses a large audience and is centered around the message that every person's life matters on the road, no matter where he/she comes from or the modality of transport he/she chooses. The campaign received a Mention in the Romanian CSR Awards Gala, the most prestigious national event which recognizes Romanian Sustainability and CSR activities implemented by Romanian companies.
