What are you doing/aiming to do for road safety?
We commit to the European Road Safety Charter with the following actions.
Trainings:
1) Training of trainers for our divisions around the country. The trainers will take a 2-day course where they will be taught about the following subjects: speed control and measurements, sober driving, the importance of bicycle helmet and eco-driving.
In the end of the training session the trainer will take a test about traffic rules and road safety.
The purpose with the training is to train trainers so they can pass on the knowledge to our members on our meetings.
Camping sites:
2) We will provide information about alcohol and drugs on our camp sites as well as establish alcohol interlocks (breath-testing device). All together 37 camping sites, in 18 sections.
Meetings:
3) We will have 4 meetings per year ( in 18 sections). The purpose with the meeting is to provide important road safety information and practical knowledge about what to keep in mind when driving a caravan.
In addition we will also have a meeting every year to our members. ( first year 2 days-250 members, second year 5-days 500 members, third year 2-days-250 members). The purpose with the meeting is to focus on road safety issues, how to drive a caravan, sober driving and important information concerning cyclists.
