The European Commission, in collaboration with the Maltese Presidency of the European Union, organised with great success a High-Level Conference on Road Safety in Valletta, Malta. The two-day event brought together road safety experts, stakeholders and policy-makers and was an opportunity to discuss the current state of play in road safety, and the way forward to reduce the number of road deaths and serious injuries. A Declaration on Road Safety was endorsed during the Ministerial Conference.
