Since its origins, the Abertis Foundation's priorities have been to generate and share new knowledge of road safety and to raise awareness of the need for a safe mobility among different key groups. Throughout these years, the aim of the road safety programme has been to support drivers in all the phases of their lives and in all the countries where the Group has a significant presence: Brazil, Chile, Spain, France, Argentina and Puerto Rico.
We are committed to global road safety
-Global alliance with UNICEF to combat the effects of traffic accidents involving children. Abertis is the first company to sign a global agreement with UNICEF on the issue of road safety.
-Innovative agreement with the Institut Guttmann to extend good practices in the area of prevention and treatment of injuries in traffic accidents in hospitals and centres in Jamaica and the Philippines.
-Support for partnerships with public bodies, medical institutions and social organisations in the field of traffic and road safety.
-Abertis International Forums in the Group's main countries such as France, Spain, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Italy. In Brazil, this is supplemented by the Youth Forum and the celebration of Road Safety Month in September.
