Autodrive Solutions uses a disruptive technology called Radar Positioning System (RPS) for road digitization. RPS uses 3D land marks for enconding data and mm-wave radars installed in the underbody of the vehicles for reading them in a similar way of the Braille code (the reading system for blind). As a result, vehicles properly equipped can read the data encoded and be located with 1cm accuracy in a reliable and low cost manner. Infrastructure adaptation with 3D land marks are totally feasible and affordable. In fact, they are currently deployed in many roads for improving visibility in rainy conditions (youtube: spotflex land marking). RPS enables reliable and safe LDWS/ALKS enabling 200 metres of safe guidance blindless (without the support of sensors) when perception fails due to a precise starting point and vehicle orientation, the encoders of the wheels and the steering wheel and a prerecorded road map. RPS is also suitable for supporting Intelligent Speed Asistance that defines a precise speed limit at each meter of the road instead of fixed stretches
