SEAT is a Spanish automotive manufacturer, entity of the Volkswagen Group. In 2014, 394,860 of the brand’s own vehicles were produced at the company’s sites in the province of Barcelona where the work force increased to almost 13,500 persons. While SEAT also produces various Group brand models at its Spanish sites, a part of its own production is operated at VW Group plants throughout the European Union.
SEAT vehicles are equipped with the best security technologies and have been awarded with 5 stars by the EuroNCAP programme.
The company has joined the ERSCharter as it is interested in minimising the number of traffic accidents of clients, staff and other road users. Therefore, SEAT developed a Good Practice strategy that includes the following points, among others:

• Continuous improvement of our vehicles’ active and passive security for occupants as well as for pedestrians
• Minding road safety in our risk evaluation and planning regarding occupational safety
• Measures to reduce commuting accidents as well as traffic accidents inside the factory premises
• Mobility plan, including a collective transportation system for SEAT employees
• Realisation of employee trainings on safe driving for employees driving vehicles as part of their work
• Information campaigns on road safety via internal communication media (SEAT hoy, La Fábrica, Mundo SEAT)
