“Finding Your Way - A Guide for Victims Following the Death or Serious Injury of a Loved one in a Road Traffic Collision”.
Created by PARC Road Safety Group, the guide has arisen out of the pain, hurt, lack of information and confusion of those who have suffered greatly as a result of a road traffic collision in which they lost a loved one or been injured themselves. It is written with the intention of enabling those who come after us to benefit from our experience. It is our hope that it will empower families.

The World Health Organization (WHO) coordinated the preparation of this manual about Pedestrian safety togheter with FIA Foundation, Global Road Safety Partenership and The World Bank.
Pedestrian safety: a road safety manual for decision-makers and practitioners describes: the magnitude of pedestrian deaths and injuries; key risk factors; ways of assessing the pedestrian safety situation in a given setting and prepare an action plan; and how to select, design, implement and evaluate effective interventions. The manual stresses the importance of a comprehensive, holistic approach that includes engineering, legislation and enforcement as well as behavioural measures. It also draws attention to the benefits of walking, which should be promoted as an important mode of transport given its potential to improve health and preserve the environment.
