In search of their identity and autonomy, adolescents are often prone to disagreeing with adults and adopted rules of conduct under the pretext that their freedom is restricted. This life stage is characterized by consolidation of mental life, crystallization of attitudes and opinions and particularly by rational mental maturation. The described profile is one of the key reasons for risky behavior in traffic. The consequences are reflected in the statistics of traffic accidents in the Republic of Croatia. Young people from 15 to 24 years of age are one of the most vulnerable group in traffic. In the total number of road fatalities over the decade, adolescents have been involved in 16 - 21,5% and every second that died in car accident did not use a seat belt. All this included the need for continuous education and motivation in order to impose a pattern of responsible behavior in traffic, either as a passenger or driver. In 2016, HAK conceived and launched the project "KLIK - habit of responsible behavior" for adolescents.
Participated in the prevention program safety of road traffic with motto "Not faster than life
Technical school Slavonski Brod participated in the prevention program safety of road traffic and together with the Auto Club Marsonia and traffic police. The aim was to choose a plan that will include students, and we have decided on training on motorcycles and mopeds. The entire program takes place under the motto "Not faster than life", a national program includes a ten-year period. Technical School plans to work with children aged 1 to 4 years of high school on the topic of pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists in traffic, and generally on the subject of traffic culture.
Responsible driving- simulator
Students of Technical school participated with its partners Croatian Auto club Marsonia at the town fair where they had the opportunity to try out a rollover simulator and simulator head-on collision.Učenici have tried simulators and were once again met with the dangers of irresponsible driving.
European day without road death
Technical school Slavonski Brod marked the European Day without deaths in traffic with the development of posters and lectures about safe movement of traffic.

Technical School as part of the project “Goo Be Cool” and Culture Week 23.-27.1.2017.has been recognized the traffic culture as an important part of prevention program of traffic safety. The students through the three parts of traffic culture met with the transport culture of pedestrians, cyclists traffic culture and traffic culture motorcyclists and drivers. In Technical School we recognized the problem of traffic culture as one part of a preventive program for traffic safety.

On 23 February 2017, members of the Veterans Croatia motor club together with Croatian Automobile Club (HAK) and the Brod - Posavina Police Department, held a workshop and a lecture entitled "Sober Driver" in Technical School Slavonski Brod. The aim of the project was to show the dangers of alcohol and drugs on judgement of impaired drivers and their diminished driving capabilities, the risks of using mobile phones while driving, and driving above the speed limit - speeding. One of the goals was to promote the use of seat belts, and to improve the safety of children in a vehicle.
