Please describe the main road safety challenges/problems you have addressed or are addressing. 
An evaluation of accident reports showed that a large number of road traffic related severe injuries of employees were suffered while using a bike. We want to improve the driving skills of the employees especially in difficult situations.
What are your objectives? 
Improve awareness for critical traffic situation while using a bike
Improve dirving skills of employees using a bike in a work related manner
Improve knowledge of state of the art means of load securing in vans

VBG already offered numerous ways for its member companies to inform themselves about road safety and train their employees. In the past we focused our actions on car traffic. During an evaluation of accident reports we found, that a large amount of severe accidents in road traffic were suffered...

Evaluation

What has been the effect of the activities? 
Since it is difficult to evaluate prevented accidents, we plan in a first step to measure trainings conducted. When the activity is well established, we can try to evaluate the change in awareness for critical situations and the self assessment of changes in driving skill of the participants.
