Please describe the main road safety challenges/problems you have addressed or are addressing. 
The places selected are according to road safety statistics places that are needed improvement. The groups selected are also selected by the greatest number of accidents in the region (especially teenagers and elderly people). The main themes of the programme are: <br><br>1. Children: basic abilities in traffic, mobility, signs and basic rules together with mayor possible risk <br>2. Teenagers: main focus on risk understanding and consequences<br>3. Elderly people: main focus on understanding limitations and abilities , fisical limitations of age and risk understanding
What are your objectives? 
To lower the number of accidents in the region of teenagers and elderly people
To prepare the youngest for the traffic rules
To promote road safety between all road users as natural and trendy movement
The initiative is a one day event, carried out in small districts of the region, each time different disctict. The Road Safety Day is divided into three modules:a) Children and infantsb) Teenagersc) Elderly peopleEach module has a leader entity responsible for the part. Leader of all project: association Centrum Inicjatyw BRD. Each module is also specially adjusted to the age and specification of the road users. The first module is aimed at the youngest group, childern and infants. This module is carried out by the Voivodeship Police, Traffic Department and the Malopolska Road Safety Council. The module consists on placing mobile traffic city for children and infants, who as cyclists and pedestrians learn how to behave and react in traffic. The children are tought the possible dangers and pass through many simulations of real dangers. Normally appr. 150-200 children assist. The second module is aimed at teenagers. This module is carried out by the association Centrum Inicjatyw BRD (Center of Initiatives for Road Safety).The teenagers assist in Road Show project which consist on one hour meeting of teenagers, with representatives of the circle of accidents: Policeman, Firefighter, Emergency doctor, Traffic Victim (young teenager), parent of mortal victim and perpetrator. The meeting is based on peer-to-peer method, based on scientifical study and evaluation of Motor Transport Institute from Warsaw. The speakers in short and emotional speech share their experience and memories from the accidents and share their stories in order to prevent and warn young potential drivers. They show how the accident changed their lives and what are the real risks of the unproppiate behaviour on road. Normally app. 500-700 teenagers assist.The third module is aimed at elderly people. This module is carried out by Police Prevention and Traffic Departments. It consists on direct meeting withthe local members of the universities of the Third Age. During the special workshops, the participants are faced different real dangers, among others in road safety. They get to know their limitations related to the age and are adviced on potential risks as all road users: cyclists, pedestrians, drivers. Radio Krakow: media leader, provides all day direct relation from the event and media promotion of road safety.Additionally the Partners provided road safety simulators and crash simulations. Also a small exposition of rally cars was exposed.

How have you shared information about your project and its results? 
The promotion was carried out by: the district authorities, Malopolska Road Safety Council, Police of the voivodeship, Radio Krakow ( direct auditions all day and special road safety programmes in Radiostrada programme). The event was also promoted on Facebook sites.
