Describe the characteristics of your target audience 
As our programme is called “Safety on Roads during a Lifetime” we provide education both for children and adults with a special focus on elderly people. Our target audience is children going to primary and secondary school, youngsters who would like to get the driving licence, families with children and grandparents. Due to their age, pupils may participate in road traffic only as pedestrians or as cyclists. However, knowledge of the rules of the Highway Code is compulsory as well for them when riding bicycle.

Please describe the main road safety challenges/problems you have addressed or are addressing. 
We have launched our road safety and education programme “Safety on Roads during a Lifetime” eight years ago aiming to reduce the number of fatalities and accidents. As children and pedestrians are the most vulnerable participants of traffic we have provided them education in order to enhance their sense of responsibility and obeying the rules of the Highway Code. We visited 30 cities every year as from 2006 with our road safety roadshow providing education for families attending our events. Our programme has been a real success story in Hungary.
What are your objectives? 
Raise awareness of general public about road safety and risky behaviour.
Enhance traffic education among children.
Raise awareness among seniors about the importance of safe behaviour in traffic.

Name of action 

Awareness campaign and road safety road show throughout Hungary. We are visiting 30 cities in Hungary every year with our road safety roadshow as from 2006 providing education for families attending the events ( using roll-over simulator, safety demonstrations, drunken glasses, estimation of distance). We draw attention of media through awareness campaigns in order to reach that media will deal with the problem of road safety and try to provide solution for different factors of safety issues.

We provide traffic education (both theoretical and practical with bicycles) for pupils in our traffic safety park and in our mobile road safety truck

Visiting seniors (both senior drivers and pedestrians) in clubs of elderly people in order to support them to maintain their mobility.
