Describe the characteristics of your target audience 
Our target group for the educational seminar is high school and lyceum students, from 14 to 18 years old. We believe that this age group segment is critical for road safety, as they will be soon drivers (in Greece they can get a driver’s license for small motorcycles at the age of 16), but even before that, they demonstrate a high rate of delinquency as many teenagers drive motorcycles without a license.Our target group for the educational theatrical play is young children aged from five to eleven years old. We believe that this age group segment is critical for introducing road safety, as they are very receptive and positive towards educational material.
Please describe the main road safety challenges/problems you have addressed or are addressing. 
Every year thousands of people in our country find tragic death on the asphalt. A disproportionate percentage of these are motorcyclists. More specifically, even though motorcyclists represent a relatively small percentage of traffic, according to the statistics provided by the Hellenic Statistical Authority and the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks, they represent about 1/3 of road accident deaths in our country. Moreover, according to statistics, young ages seem to be at a higher risk of being involved in an accident compared to older people, as the leading cause of death for young people aged from 16 to 20 years old, are traffic accidents.
What are your objectives? 
Educate adolescents on road safety, raise their level of awareness on road safety and educate them on key issues of road safety.
Our long-term objective is to help reduce road accidents involving young people, as drivers, passengers and motorcyclists.

Name of action 

With an educational seminar, performed by a road safety expert (a role model for teenagers) in schools. More specifically the speaker will be a Professor of Physical Education, a well known athlete of Motorsport for 23 years, a Rally Dakar 1997 first Greek participant, Founder of Safe Driving School Riding School in Greece and a famous journalist for motorcycle.The seminar will be conducted in school theatres and address students from 14 to 18 years old.The seminar is about 2 hours long. The first 45 minutes of the seminar will be covering basic principles of road safety (seat belt, speeding, alcohol, mobiles, stopping distances, etc.), while the following 45 minutes of the seminar will be concentrating on road safety for motorcyclists, both as drivers and passengers (helmet use, stopping distances, blind spot, gear, etc). The last half hour of the seminar will be open for discussion and will give children the chance to raise their questions and concerns. During the seminar, students will have the opportunity to see videos from international campaigns on road safety, thus reinforcing the educational effect of the seminar (in Greece, as perhaps in other European countries as well, such campaigns are not showing on television). The seminar will encourage student participation and open discussion on road safety. The seminar will be implemented in High schools and Lyceums in Greece and be accredited by psychologists, teachers and physicians. The seminar will be tested on a couple of focus groups, in the presence of a psychologist, in order to make the final tuning adjustments.

Name of action 

Our Theatrical Play “Little Atticus”, is an educational theatrical play on road safety, targeting young children from 5 to 11 years old.The play’s purpose is to educate young children on the basic principles of road safety. Through, songs, role playing and fun games, children participate and gain a hands on experience on road safety. Up to today, more than 43.000 children have watched the play. The play is interactive and encourages student participation and open discussion on road safety.

How have you shared information about your project and its results? 
A few days before the seminar, a questionnaire will be distributed to students. It will examine the level of their knowledge on road safety as well as their general habits and stance on road safety .After the seminar, the same children will be asked to fill in, once again, the same questionnaire, thus giving the chance to youngsters to see with their own eyes the change as knowledge is gained, and also give us measurable results on the seminar itself.

Comparison of the statistical results of the questionnaires answered by the children,will be the major indicator for us to measure the success of the educational program.
Moreover, the general feedback from the teenagers as well as the feedback we get from their teachers, will help us measure the success of the educational program.

As mentioned earlier, we plan to benchmark feedback from students as we collect information prior to and after the seminar. This will enable us to measure the effect of the seminar on real terms and make adjustments if and when necessary. More specificall
