Organisation details

Please describe the main road safety challenges/problems you have addressed or are addressing. 
We have identified that children did not know the truck, they did not know how to behave in the street when there is a heavy vehicle in circulation. We noted the high interest and participation of children, a subject in which they felt very involved in and of course not bored.
What are your objectives? 
The initiative foreseen a contest "THE TRUCKS AND THE WORLD IN THE ROAD", which has been included in the Road Safety Campaign that our association is promoting through all Italy. The aim is to listen , look at their drawings and find a topic that can inv
1. The first time ever in Italian association of truckers enters the schools to explain how did our job is done professionally and how to behave on the road when you have a heavy vehicle;
2. Raising an issue of great relevance such as road safety;
3. This training is specially designed and prepared on a topic that usually is not addressed to young guys;
4. Immediate approach training / mink / proof that a strong "imprint" to the child.

Name of action 

General presentation of the project is performed previously by the teacher;Training in the classroom with pictures and videos age-appropriate so that the attention and the interest can be captured;Explanation with still images of the subject, tips and lots of interesting behavior linked to the truck and road safety but also the usefulness of road transport and of the value of the driver work in everyday life;Answers to the questions of the childrens on what is projectedIn the schoolyard, a truck will be positioned to show what explained before in class;The children will rise in the cabin with the possibility of a real exploring, simulated driving, fun honking and understand all truck secrets;Students will perform in school hours the drawing assigned in a determined time framer;Collection of all the works and subsequent evaluation by the psychologist involved in the project;All drawings will be printed on canvas of the truck.Conclusion of the project by showing the truck with tarpaulin to the childrens. It will be ready to work and move in the streets.


What has been the effect of the activities? 
The method assigned for the realization of the drawings is usually free but determined the time for the realization; the psychologist who will assess the drawings will also have the opportunity to highlight if there are special cases to take care of them.
