What are you doing/aiming to do for road safety?

Bethell Group Plc believes that increase of mileage travelled may lead to tiredness and fatigue with the potential of an accident. This area is the focus of our commitment and is being managed jointly by the in house Training, Insurance and Transport teams in conjunction with the involvement of RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents).

Our aim is to assess employees driving capabilities linked to their behavioural performance following the completion of on-line RoSPA profiler tests. The test will be completed by all new employees entering the business who may drive, however there is an option to extend this to all employees, who may be required to drive a Company vehicle.

The result of the test will inform ongoing training needs as the driver will be categorised as low, medium or high risk. The employee's, dependant on the category are issued with a training manual, supplied with relevant classroom or on road training courses.
In addition, to provide us with a monitoring sample, mileage logs will be issued and to be compiled by the drivers. This will then allow us to react appropriately once the sampling is complete.

Any training will be in conjunction with RoSPA via their classroom courses and vehicle training courses as necessary.
