What are you doing/aiming to do for road safety?

Long-haul truck drivers are usually pressed for time. When they get sick on the road, they not only face the problem of running behind schedule but also of finding a doctor far from home. So many drivers just keep on going under pain or help themselves with self-medication. It is self-evident that these truckers are no safe drivers anymore.
DocStop for Europeans thus incorporated a network of doctors and hospitals close to German motorways, who are willing to help sick truck drivers in a non-bureaucratic way and on short notice. The doctors can be contacted via hotline, provided by the German automobile club ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club e.V.). The hotline staff informs the driver of the closest DocStop partner - either a medical practice or a truckers rest stop whose personal will help the driver to find the closest doctor.  Since long-haul truck drivers are obviously not only travelling through Germany, for the coming three years DocStop for Europeans commits to extend the network of doctors and hospitals to further European countries. The goal is to establish DocStop in half of the European Union member countries by 2014.
Furthermore, the association wants to broaden its service from the now existing emergency help to planned consultations on the road.
