The essence of our mission is mutual understanding and respect of all road users as one of the solutions to improving road safety. There is no road safety based on just one element. We will not achieve the "Vision Zero" based only on education, only on fines, or only on infrastructure. We do not teach the law, but the rules. The foreman and the lawyer have to make the same analysis at the same intersection, at the same time, take the same decision, which leads to the same result - reaching the destination.
This year's World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims carried the message "We do not want more victims to remember, we want to live our lives together." How to promote such a strong slogan? The Foundation “Roads of Mazovia” and partners decided to do so with an educational project called "Bicycle Rally for teachers - Promotion of the cycling license for kids".
The Małopolska Provincial Road Safety Council (MWRBRD) initiates and undertakes a number of activities to make Polish, and in particular, Małopolska roads safer. The programs are aimed at all road users. The activities carried out by the council are long-term and systemic in nature; are implemented in close consultation with entities for which safety on Polish roads is a priority. The council includes 27 members from all region collaborating for road safety. The main goal established by the Council is 0 victims in the region by 2050.
Tiago Jorge won a Renault Captur in the 2021 Mokotów Bike Rally. The lucky coupon was drawn by the Mayor of Mokotow District Krzysztof Skolimowski. The event was powered by the FIA Road Safety Grant Programme and Mokotow District Found.
The II edition of " Krakow roads without alcohol - Krakowskie Drogi bez Promili" campaign, organized by the Prodriver Foundation, took place in Krakow in the form of a cycle of four events: on 20.09 in Muzeum Lotnictwa, on 21.09 in Aquapark, on 05.10 in Galeria Bronowice and the closing event was held on 17.11.2019 in the ICE Krakow International Conference Center on the occasion of „Welcome to ICE Krakow”. The aim of the campaign was to promote social attitudes and encourage the Cracovians to oppose driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs in the context of road traffic.
On June 11th, 2019 the European Road Safety Charter workshop was held at the headquarters of the Motor Transport Institute in Warsaw.
In Poland, for the first time the solemn signing of the European Road Safety Charter (founded in 2004) took place in April 2004, just before Poland's accession to the European Union. Since then, the Charter has been signed by 138 organizations from our country, including the Motor Transport Institute in 2009.
The Foundation is preparing for the 5th Warsaw Road Safety Week. As always, the week will open the conference "Pedestrian always first". Our conferences are the minimum number of speakers, the maximum of knowledge. 8 topics on pedestrian safety will be presented by experts from Poland and Germany.
The conference in cooperation with the German Embassy, the Police in Brandenburg, the District Bar Council, the Warsaw Town Hall, the Marshal's Office and the Ombudsman's Office.
