Operation Safe Home was developed to help improve the system of children exiting the school at home time. Due to an increase in students attending the school and a rise in the number of road safety incidents occurring at this time an action plan was put into place .We currently have 497 pupils and expect to have over 500 pupils next Sept. The boy’s school is located within 300 metres of the girl’s school and has similar numbers. There is therefore a very high volume of traffic particularly in the evenings. The entrance to our school and the footpath are both very narrow.

Speaking to delegates at the One Young World Summit in Dublin 2014. Highlighting the plight of road traffic victims and bereaved families - the reality faced by them while dealing with the aftermath. Putting a human story to the statistics. Highlighting the human impact. The fight for information and for justice.

Working together with our colleagues in FEVR and in the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety & Road Victims -advocating for Road Victims - working to reduce road dangers - working to improve information, protection and supports for Road traffic Victims and for their bereaved families. Working to highlight the human impact of road traffic collisions and to raise road safety awareness, helping to reduce road dangers. Together, we can save lives and prevent needless suffering and loss of life.

Sharing the Road with Cyclists

Cyclists are entitled to road space as much as cars, vans, goods vehicles or indeed any other vehicle on the road. This commercial aims to educate drivers on sharing the roads safely with cyclists, and motorists' responsibility to cyclists as vulnerable road users.
