Sharing the Road with Cyclists

Cyclists are entitled to road space as much as cars, vans, goods vehicles or indeed any other vehicle on the road. This commercial aims to educate drivers on sharing the roads safely with cyclists, and motorists' responsibility to cyclists as vulnerable road users.

Irish Road Victims Association

 

The Irish Road Victims Association is made up of those affected by road traffic collisions, the bereaved, injured, their relations, colleagues and friends. The association is based in Mullingar, Ireland People with a genuine interest in road safety matters and in road crash prevention and in improving the provision of support services and information for Road Traffic Victims and their families are also encouraged and most welcome within our Group. Indeed we value any professional expertise in these areas offered to us.

 

 

Freight Transport Association of Ireland




FTA (Freight Transport Association) Ireland is a not-for-profit membership trade association for the Irish freight and logistics industry. We are wholly owned and governed by our members and will act solely in advancing their best interests.FTA Ireland covers all aspects of private and public freight transport, passenger transport and logistics supply chain, including road, rail, sea and air.

Tobin Shipping and Transport Limited is an Irish based transport and fright forwarding company, that was first established in Ireland in 1946. The business is now a involved in international logistics, road freight, retail distribution and global freight forwarding.

 

eFlow Barrier Free Tolling

eFlow is the barrier-free tolling system on the M50, the major orbital motorway of Irelands capital city, Dublin.

Overhead cameras and detectors automatically record journeys and customers pass through the toll point at normal driving speed, avoiding queues and reducing stress and frustration.

 

Bartons Transport

 

Bartons Transport facilitates School runs, Private tours, corporate events and Conferences with its modern fleet of luxury coaches and buses. The company was established in 1964 and has grown year on year. It has now 40 members of staff.

 

Mayo Road Safety Working Group (Mayo County Council)


The Mayo Road Safety Working Group is an interagency group with the aim to reduce the numbers and severity of road traffic collisions in Mayo. The group’s main stakeholders are Mayo Council (including fire service), The National Road Authority, AN Garda Siochana, Health Service Executive (including ambulance service) & Road Safety Authority.

Rural Transport Programme, Pobal


The issues as highlighted above are that the quality of driving on Irish roads is poor. Lack of observation of speed and mobile use laws is identified as major contributory factors in road deaths.

The RTP will use appropriate training expertise for its drivers, staff and users in support of its commitment to the Charter.

Additionally information and safety aids will be given to the users of the services overtime.

Vantastic


Vantastic is a Not for Profit Irish Charity that offers a Transport Service to people with disabilities and ageing & older people 65+ with mobility impairments in Dublin. Vantastic does this by providing a Door-to-Door demand responsive transport in specially converted vehicles, Self Hire Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles and Shop Route service in an operating fleet of thirty specially converted vehicles. Vantastic is operating as a membership based organisation, managed by its own Voluntary Board of Directors who employ a total of 37 staff.
