Please describe the project activities you carried/are carrying out and the time period over which these were implemented.

Members of the Luxembourgish police force perform a puppet play for children in cycle 1. The elementary schools of the country are invited to attend the play in the venue closest to them. Within two years, the play is performed for every Cycle 1 child in the country.

What has been the effect of the activities?

Every year, the play is performed for more than 6000 children between 3 and 5 years old. It is a tradition in the schools that eagerly await the arrival of the program at the beginning of the year. Thanks to the teaching material, the schools continue to teach the song in the classroom and the song is known by all young children.

Please briefly explain why your initiative is a good example of improving road safety.

The puppet theater is a great way to convey a simple and clear, but very important message to young children. It is the foundation of their road safety education.

How have you shared information about your project and its results?
