It has been shown that VR (virtual reality) acts as a form of treatment in the healthcare sector's. Studies have shown that VR has been a tool for preventing mental illness. There are also organizations that use VR to illustrate the problems that are caused by alcohol and create violence in homes.

This is a one year feasibility study, to find out if VR can affects people's attitudes and habits to prevent drunk driving. There is research that shows that VR affects learning ability, change behaviors.

The project is about investigating and collecting data from previous research on how our mind can be affected to prevent drunk driving. VR experience gives a real affect on how we react and what choices we make. The result of the pilot-study will provide support and create a base for the possibilities for the future.

By mapping and exploring previous on project's and studies about VR, we can see if VR is the solution for a safer traffic environment. The studie could be a step stone for a greater future and create solution's for the alcohol problems in our society. The actual project idea is to prevent alcohol and drugs in traffic and promote sober driving with the help of VR. During the preliminary study, we will contact the traffic safety stakeholders to find the right method for developing the project idea in greater ways.
