In its business operations, Compensa emphasises popularisation of both behaviours increasing safety on roads, as well as activities aimed at dissemination of knowledge with regard to first aid and rescue, as well as education in these areas. In the 3rd quarter of 2017, Compensa along with Road Safety Centre in Łódź began the social campaign "Bezpieczna Autostrada" ("Safe Motorway"), the main purpose of which is to increase safety on motorways. The main objective of the campaign is dissemination of knowledge among road users about safe travel on motorways and freeways as well as about first aid in case of accidents. The campaign is Polish nationwide and will be carried out on motorways A1, A2 and A4 until the end of 2018. As part of the campaign, a cycle of events was planned in Rest and Service Areas (RSAs), during which first aid demonstrations is to be organised. Drivers receive packages of materials, containing, among others, information about how to correctly drive on motorways, about safety in the road traffic for adults and children, emergency corridor stickers for cars as well as ICE cards (in case of emergency), helpful in notifying relatives in the event of an accident. The materials are also disseminated at entrance gates of motorways during selected weekends. Practical trainings and e-learning courses concerning first aid are to be organised for employees of key stations on A1, A2 and A4 motorways, as well as for motorway service employees. Additionally, the aforementioned stations will be equipped with professional first aid kits. The campaign will also cover contest for drivers, in which they will be able to win, among others, safe driving courses and e-learning courses concerning first aid. As part of the campaign, 22 first aid trainings took place all across Poland for employees of Compensa branches, selected business partners and agent friends. In total, 335 people participated in field trainings in first aid. All branches were branded with the information that employees of Compensa are able to give first aid. All Compensa’a branches are also engaged in distribution of mentioned above educational materials. The campaign has honour patronage of The National Traffic Safety Council and the General Director for National Roads and Motorways. Media patronage is given by one of the most popular: radio station in Poland RMF FM and Internet Portal Onet.pl.
