The Second All-Poland Artistic Contest connected with Road Safety entitled “Fluorescently – Visibly – Safely”.

From May to November 2015 we organized and coordinated the Second All-Poland Artistic Contest connected with Road Safety entitled “Fluorescently – Visibly – Safely”. The contest was aimed at grades 1-3, 4-6 as well as school common rooms. It was held under the patronage of the District Police Headquarters in Dąbrowa Tarnowska and the Road Safety Partnership Association in Warsaw. The level of the contest was very high. 536 artistic works from all over Poland were sent to our school. All of them were very well done, participants showed interesting approaches to the subject and they used various artistic techniques. A lot of actions were taken to organize such a contest: - Establishing the cooperation with the Police in Dąbrowa Tarnowska and the Road Safety Partnership Association in Warsaw. - Formulating the rules of the contest and sending them to primary schools chosen at random (15 schools from every province – our school took part as well). - Buying prizes, preparing diplomas, certificates of distinction and thanks. - Appointing a jury consisting of members of the Parent Board, the Police, workers of the Municipal Public Library, representatives of the Town Office and the District Office and some local artists. - Selecting the winners. - Organizing an event concerning the contest and the importance of wearing reflective clothing. Invited guest, for example kindergarten pupils, parents, representatives of the Police, the Municipal Public Library, the Town Office and the District Office had the possibility to watch a theatre performance, listen to songs and see the exhibition of the works sent for the contest. - Publishing the names of the winners and the photos on the school, municipality and province websites. - Sending prizes, diplomas and certificates of distinction and thanks to the winners. - Creating a picture album with all the works sent for the competition. - Using photos of the works as illustrations in a book entitled “Fluorescent Poems and Rhymes”.
