Safe Night-time Shuttle Service for Young Adults in Rome

What are you doing/aiming to do for road safety?

CBH is dedicated to transforming night-time mobility in Rome and reducing road accidents among young people by delivering an innovative, safe, and reliable shuttle service during late-night hours. Our mission is to address the major risk factors linked to nightlife—such as drunk driving, fatigue, and limited access to safe transportation—by providing a high-quality alternative to private car use.

Operating from 9 PM to 5 AM, our circular shuttle routes connect key nightlife districts, university areas, and public transport hubs, ensuring that young people have access to safe journeys home, regardless of the hour. CBH not only offers a mobility solution, but also acts as a driver of social responsibility through ongoing awareness campaigns on road safety, responsible behaviour, and the dangers of impaired driving.

We continuously monitor our impact through advanced data collection, user feedback, and close collaboration with local authorities to measure results and improve our service. By making safe transport accessible, appealing, and socially recognized, CBH strives to foster a new culture of responsible mobility in the city and to significantly reduce risks for all vulnerable road users.

Estimated impact & ways of measuring

We estimate that over 20,000 young people will benefit from the service each year. Impact will be measured by the number of safe rides provided, reduction of accidents among our users (monitored through self-reporting and cooperation with local authorities), and engagement in awareness campaigns. Further evaluation will include user satisfaction surveys and regular data analysis on mobility patterns and incident rates.

Resources (personnel, budget, etc.)

The initiative is coordinated by a multidisciplinary team of six professionals, encompassing operations, logistics, communication, customer service, and data analysis. This structure ensures efficient management of shuttle operations, effective safety communication strategies, and continuous monitoring of results. Our budget is primarily funded through CBH’s own revenues and dedicated project funds, and is reinforced by potential contributions from public-private partnerships and local authorities. This financial and organizational framework enables us to deliver a high-quality, sustainable service and to scale our impact as demand grows or as further collaborations are established.
