Congratulations to Madlencnik Mobility – Easy Drivers Radfahrschule for their winning project, 'Lifelong safe and active mobility'!
This tailored e-bike safety programme helps older adults confidently embrace the shift toward active, sustainable mobility. Designed around their unique needs, it combines essential technical knowledge with hands-on riding practice to build skills and safety awareness. A standout feature is its “train the trainer” model, which equips older participants to be able to teach cycling skills to children creating a cross-generational ripple effect of safe mobility habits.
Notably, 15% of certified instructors are over the age of 60. To date, more than 1,500 older cyclists have completed the training, and senior trainers have delivered over 2,000 cycling lessons in schools across Austria.
