We are pleased to announce a two‑week extension to the application deadline for the 2026 Excellence in Road Safety Awards. Our members now have until Wednesday 24 June 2026 to submit their road safety initiatives for consideration.
These Awards recognise outstanding and innovative actions that contribute to safer roads across Europe. By sharing effective approaches and celebrating the commitment of organisations and individuals, we continue to support wider progress toward the EU’s Vision Zero objective — reducing road deaths to almost zero by 2050.
Applications are open to all Charter members across five categories:
• At Work
• Education
• Technology
• Urban
• Vulnerable Road Users
The winners will be announced at the EU Road Safety Conference on 23 November 2026 in Brussels.
We encourage members who have not yet submitted their entry to take advantage of the extended deadline and share their work with the wider European road safety community.
