Who is the Transport Research Centre, and what is your role as a Charter Ambassador?
The Transport Research Centre is a research institution with a goal to improve transport for everyone. Road safety is a central focus of its work, with activities grounded in research and evidence.
Why did you decide to join the European Road Safety Charter?
We joined the European Road Safety Charter to reach a wider audience and strengthen awareness of road safety issues. The Charter offers an opportunity to broaden our network, share our work more widely, and contribute to European road safety objectives alongside other committed organisations.
What are your main focus areas and current projects?
Our work focuses on reducing road accidents and fatalities. We cooperate with the Vize0 project and have also launched the “After Accident Care” initiative, which supports people following road traffic accidents.
Who do you collaborate with?
Through our research activities, we work with public authorities, state organisations, universities, and private partners. These collaborations support knowledge exchange and help align national efforts with wider European road safety initiatives.
What advice would you give to organisations working on road safety?
Be active in European initiatives, seek out partners, and share best practices.
