We have now published the agenda and confirmed the speaker line-up for the Excellence in Road Safety Awards 2025, which will take place on Thursday, October 16, in Brussels and online.
Our annual awards ceremony, hosted by Ilse De Vis as Master of Ceremonies, recognises outstanding road safety initiatives from across Europe. The awards will be presented in five categories: education, driving under the influence, older people, technology, and urban mobility. The People’s Choice Award, voted by our audience, will be announced at the end of the event. Kristian Schmidt, European Road Safety Coordinator at the European Commission, will present all the awards.
This year’s agenda includes:
- A presentation from Vias Institute and the Belgian ProLeague on their alcohol awareness campaign using football as a platform.
- Insights from Roni Utriainen, City of Helsinki, on the city’s Vision Zero strategy.
- A Q&A panel featuring speakers and award winners, followed by a networking reception.
