We have the pleasure to invite you to a European Road Safety (ERS) Charter workshop on the 21st of March at The Ministry of Infrastructure an Transport, Anastaseos street 2 & Tsigante, Papagou, Athens, Greece. The speakers at the workshop will identify the main road safety issues in Greece; You will find out what is the European Road Safety Charter, why should you join it and how can you do so. Concrete members’ experiences will be showcased and the event will also provide an excellent occasion to discuss modalities of improving road safety regardless of the type of organization you belong to.
The current phase of the ERS Charter is running from 2016-2019 and this workshop is part of a series of ERS Charter events across all 28 Member States that will focus on helping stakeholders develop road safety commitments and take action by showcasing and discussing concrete examples and practices from across Europe.
The European Road Safety Charter, led by the European Commission, is the largest civil society platform on road safety. To date, more than 3500 public and private entities have committed to the Charter and carried out road safety actions and initiatives targeted at their members, employees and the rest of civil society.
The mission of the European Road Safety Charter now is to further encourage, foster and broaden this community, with an ultimate vision of reducing the number of road deaths. Together we play a significant role in the pan-European effort to make our road safer.
This event is open to all interested participants. We are looking forward to meeting you.
